About Me
I’m a student with a passion for speech and debate, math, music, and coding. I like making websites like this one and my other site apeurostudy.com. I’m not very good at coding but I am skilled with GNU/Linux and Vim. I’m pretty good at Python and I’m trying to learn web dev and Rust. For my development workflow, I use NixOS, Hyprland, NeoVim, and Tmux. I’m also trying to learn Calculus and Linear Algebra, as well as studying The Book of Proof by Richard Hammack. I play the French Horn and the Piano.
My Stance on AI
I strongly oppose Artificial Intelligence (In the way that we use it now) and the tech companies that violate the rights of their users by pushing AI and proprietary spyware onto their user’s computers without the consent of the user. I try to avoid proprietary software as much as I can, with the exception being Obsidian for my notes. I also think that AI is going to destroy human understanding of mathematics. However, I think that OpenAI deserves zero credit for finding a solution to the Navier-Stokes Existence and Smoothness Problem. They stole research from mathematicians and then threatened to ruin their careers if they spoke up about it. This is unacceptable and must not be allowed to continue.
